Myrtis M. Atwood Kroll 1927 ~ 2011 Look out Dad, here she comes!! Myrtis Atwood Kroll, beloved daughter, sister, wife, mother, aunt and friend, passed away on January 20, 2011 from complications of chronic renal failure. Ironically, the same disease claimed the life of her husband, Ron, in 2008. She was born April 8, 1927 to Alma Clark and Ida Miller Atwood in Salt Lake City, UT and married Ronald L. Kroll in 1952. She followed him around the world as he served in the Air Force for over 21 years. They had one child, Sharilyn Marie (Lewis) Hunsaker. Ron, Myrt and Shari were sealed together as an eternal family in the Salt Lake Temple June 6, 1973. Myrt was a feisty, strong-willed woman, never afraid to express her opinion. She was devoted to her husband and daughter and was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Survived by her "dolly," son-in-law, numerous nieces, nephews, and cherished friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, and husband. A viewing will be held at 10:00 a.m. January 24, 2011 at the Jordan Parkway Ward, 1510 W. Parliament Ave. (3940 South), West Valley City prior to services at 11:00 a.m. with interment to follow at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park. Heartfelt appreciation is expressed to Rocky Mountain Care - Tooele for the incredible care they provided to mom during her last weeks.
