trapping skunks or being chased by non-existent (or not) bears. Ronald graduated from Spanish Fork High School in 1954. He married his eternal companion and sweetheart, Amanda Swasey, in the Salt Lake Temple on September 28, 1956. They had five children: Son, Stephen Ronald (Catherine White) Prows, Daughters, Joyce Kay (Russell) Christensen, Karen (Steven) McCurdy, Diana Marie (Brent) Ware and Pattie Jean (Jeffery) Matheson. He graduated from the BYU in 1959 with a teaching degree and taught science in Mt. View and Sheridan, Wyoming. He received a Master’s degree from the University of Wyoming. In 1967 he moved his family to Grantsville Utah, where he taught at Grantsville High School. As a teacher, Ronald influenced many people. He was good with teenagers and young adults. His own children attended various biology, chemistry and life science classes taught by Mr. Prows and attest that he was not an easy “A”. He retired from teaching in 1994 after spending 35 years in the classroom. Ronald and Amanda were true companions building a home, family and life together. From 2001-2002 they served together as missionaries for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Lancing Michigan mission. After their mission they served nine years together in the Salt Lake Temple. Ronald is survived by his wife and children, 29 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren and sister-in-law, Rosella Prows. He was husband, father, grandfather, teacher, example and friend. Dad, you were loved and wanted. Thank you for your service to your family, from science fair projects to rebuilding engines to patiently explaining math problems. Thank you for attending almost every major event of your children’s, grandchildren’s (and some great grandchildren’s) lives and for hosting (with Mom), two parties a year for your descendants for the past several years. Thank you for giving advice only when it was asked for. We love you. We know you were prepared for death. There are no regrets. We believe we will see you again AND we are so sad that you are gone. Funeral services will be held in the LDS 4th Ward building, 428 South Hale, Grantsville Utah. Viewing, Sunday, March 8, 2015 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and Monday, March 9th from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Funeral at 11:00 a.m. Ronald will be interred in the Grantsville cemetery.
